2011 NJ Jr. American Legion State Champs
On Thursday, August 04, 2011, the Brooklawn Junior American Legion team took home the Junior American Legion state title defeating North Warren, 16-5 in Union.
The win improved Brooklawn to 31-0 overall, and advanced the team to the North East Regional in New Bedford, Mass.
On Friday August 11, 2011 they received a first game 12-2 win over Sudbury, MA. In the 2nd round of play on Saturday they were sadly defeated by Westbrook, Maine; which knocked them out of the championship round.
Before returning home on August 13th; the Brookers bounced back for a third place victory over Norwood, Mass. with a score of 5 – 2.
They are the 1st Brooklawn Jr. American Legion team to have an undefeated season and win the NJ State Championship.
